Dear Friends,
You know my son's story, and you know that PEER Services played a large part in its positive outcome.
PEER Services works with 30 area schools including ETHS, New Trier, and Niles High School talking to young people about the world they live in, and the risks they face when trying stuff even once that can be laced with deadly substances.
PEER is doing all kinds of things to protect our up-and-coming young people.
- PEER treated 590 adolescents and adults in 2025.
- PEER has trained over 800 young people on how to save lives administering Narcan, a nasal spray that reverses life-threatening effects of opioid overdose.
- PEER is one of only two organizations in Illinois with a mobile Medically Assisted Recovery (MAR) van that provides life-saving care to people with opioid and alcohol use disorders.
Help us out! I have free tickets to share for our annual fundraising walk and community celebration, Step Up for Recovery Sunday, on October 4 at Dawes Park, 1-3 pm. I would love for you to join me.
To claim a free ticket, Register for my team and select Free Ticket.
Please also consider making a donation. Every gift helps prevent youth substance use, reduce stigma, and ensure people can access treatment, regardless of their income or insurance status.
With lots of gratitude,
Mikey
