It’s Claire! For my Bat Mitzvah project, I’m raising money to help kids with epilepsy get trained seizure response dogs through the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation.
These dogs aren’t just pets — they can bark for help, stay with you during a seizure, and sometimes even sense one before it happens. For kids like me, a dog like that means feeling safe, being more independent, and letting our parents sleep at night instead of worrying.
Training a seizure response dog can cost more than $20,000, and the Foundation helps families who need support. They were started by a family who lost their daughter to SUDEP, something most people don’t even know about but is a real fear for families like mine.
I’ll be selling sweets in South Arlington and doing a STOMP walk, walking 25 miles before my Bat Mitzvah.
Please consider donating or sharing my fundraising page.
This is my mitzvah project, and it’s really personal to me.
