THE EVENT MISSION
The Mission of Seek Your Peak is to cultivate and sustain connection to and stewardship of the nonprofit Mount Washington Observatory and White Mountains Region. These goals will be achieved by utilizing our natural spaces in a responsible manner in order to create a wide-range of adventures on our trails, cliffs, and waterways. By leveraging our community’s passion for discovery and exploration we will simultaneously build capacity in support of the critical mission of the observatory.
MOUNT WASHINGTON OBSERVATORY - MISSION
Mount Washington Observatory is a private, nonprofit, member-supported institution with a mission to advance understanding of the natural systems that create Earth’s weather and climate.
Seek the Peak 2020 - The Virtual Year
SEEK YOUR PEAK at the MOUNT WASHINGTON ADVENTURE EXPO!
The nonprofit Mount Washington Observatory invites you to join us in the White Mountains of New Hampshire or from wherever your favorite outdoor playground is and raise funds, earn prizes and to be a part of this amazing event.
Seek Your Peak 2021
A year of unrelenting uncertainty has many of us seeking ways to achieve solace and clarity, both of which can be found in abundance throughout the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Whether a seasoned trailblazer or uninitiated explorer we yearn for opportunities to seek our own literal or figurative “peak”. Standing atop the summit of Mount Washington, winding down a gravel path at Great Glen Trails, or paddling a meandering river we pursue those feelings of discovery and renewal that are realized when we truly disconnect from our “new normal” and immerse ourselves in a new adventure. Never has it been more important to get outside and stay there as we redefine what a sense of place and purpose means for each of us.
We hope to gather on the weekend of July 16-17, 2021 in celebration of your participation. Great Glen Trails at 1 Mount Washington Auto Rd. will be the hub of all activities from registration to the epic expo and after party taking place on Saturday, July 17 featuring sponsor tents, food trucks, music and YOU our Seek Your Peak participants.
We are looking for ways to keep this event safe and celebratory and will continue to make adjustments as needed! Thank you for your support and enthusiasm for Seek Your Peak and MWO!
Each participant is asked to raise a minimum of $200 as part of their participation; in turn you are awarded with an exclusive Eastern Mountain Sports Seek Your Peak Backpack* and at $300 you earn a 21st Anniversary Seek Your Peak Tee and be enterd to win other great prizes!
Reach the minimum early and get in on or early Sky Ambitions monthly drawings to win gear.
