My name is Victoria Ellis and I am the captain for Strides for CJD Boston, which is entering it's THIRD year! I walk in memory of my mom, Rosanne, who sadly passed away from a prion disease after 7 years of suffering in 2015. Those who knew my mom remember how she always put her family and friends above everything, was fun and adventurous and was the life of the party known lovingly as "crazy Auntie Roe" by her nieces and nephews. I attended the CJD Foundation Family Conference for the first time in 2017 and decided to bring Strides to Boston in order to connect with other families impacted by prion disease and raise money for this incredible organization which supports families, provides medical education, and funds research towards a cure.
