Hello all!

On October 5, 2019 I'll be participating in Making Strides for CJD.  I'll be walking and raising funds for the Cruetzfeldt Jakob Foundation in loving memory of my wife, Maria.

What is CJD?  Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (CJD), also known as classic Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease, is a fatal degenerative brain disorder.  Early symptoms include memory problems, behavioral changes, poor coordination, and visual disturbances.  Later dementia, involuntary movements, blindness, weakness, and coma occur. About 70% of people die within a year of diagnosis.  This disease affects one in a million worldwide, there is still no treatement or cure. 

How YOU can support.  I am asking you to please support our efforts by making a donation of any amount to my fundraising page.  Your donation will go towards research, patient and family support.  Since CJD is such a rare disease, there are very limited resources to help patients and their loved ones.  If you are unable to make a donation at this time, please share my fundraising link.  We'd also appreciate any good wishes, vibes and thoughts for the scientists, care givers, patients and medical teams who work day and night to fight and manage CJD.
