As you may know, we lost my beautiful sister-in-law, Jeanne, this past April to sCJD. Jeanne was vibrant, in the prime of her life, and one of the sweetest people you could ever meet! It was nightmarish to watch this horrible disease overcome her over the course of just a few, short weeks. Jeanne left behind a husband, two sons, her sister, her parents, and scores of other family and friends that just adored her! We are all feeling a bit robbed - Jeanne was such a treasure! Our lives are much dimmer without her here. Starting this year and for as long as I am able, I will walk/fundraise in Jeanne's memory and honor. CJD is a "monster of a disease" that hardly anyone knows anythng about - it is so rare! The only way to better understand it, and perhaps, find a cure is through research and research costs $$. I don't want another family to have to ever experience the brutality of this disease ever again,
