CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease) is a rare and devastating disease that took my mom from us two years ago. It comes on suddenly and progresses incredibly fast, taking our loved ones from us in a matter of weeks. Our family has also lost my grandfather Sibby and my cousin Frankie to this horrible disease. ?

Unfortunately, CJD continues to deeply affect our family, which is why raising awareness and supporting research means so much to us.

On October 3rd, we’ll also be coming together for the CJD Walk at Breakheart to help raise money and, just as importantly, raise awareness for this awful disease. The more people who know about CJD, the more attention, research, and funding we can bring to it—with the hope that someday there will be an effective treatment or cure.

This cause means more to our family than I can put into words. Every ticket, every donation, every person who joins us at the walk, and every share helps support The CJD Foundation and gets the word out about a disease that far too few people know about. ?
