We are participating in the CJD Central Indiana Memorial 5K Walk to honor our hero, John Bryan. John passed away in November 2025 from complications of sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, only 3 months after his initial neurological symptoms began.
John loved his family deeply, walked by faith, had a servant's heart, and was everyone's go-to for all things home-improvement. A talented craftsman, he gifted many of his woodworking pieces to friends and family and always had a to-do list for projects and ideas. Though we miss him every day, we will carry his legacy forward through our Team: In John’s Footsteps.
Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease is a rare, always fatal rapidly moving neuro-degenerative disease. It effects one person in every one million people. It's devastating to patients and their loved ones. There is no current treatment and no cure.
As we walk to raise awareness and support of the CJD Foundation, we will follow in John’s example of faith, hope, and perseverance. Each step will be taken in his memory and in support of the fight against this devastatingly cruel illness.
Thank you for joining us in honoring John’s life and helping us make strides towards finding a cure. Every contribution counts. Together, we will continue moving forward—in John’s footsteps. ❤️
