Kenny was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, and the kind of person who never hesitated to help someone in need. Kenny had an infectious enthusiasm for life and spoke about the people and things he loved with such genuine passion that you couldn't help but love them too.
In February 2026, we lost Kenny to Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), a rare, rapidly progressive brain disease that changed our lives in a matter of weeks. Like so many families, we had never heard of CJD until it suddenly became part of our story. As the disease quickly stole Kenny's memory, movement, speech, and independence, we found ourselves searching for answers in the midst of the unimaginable.
During those incredibly difficult weeks, the CJD Foundation became an invaluable source of support, guidance, and compassion for our family. They provided trusted information, compassionate support, and guidance when we needed it most. They helped us understand a disease that felt impossible to comprehend and reminded us that we were not alone.
We're raising money for Strides for CJD to honor Kenny's life and support the organization that gave so much to our family. Every donation helps the CJD Foundation provide hope, education, support for families, and critical research toward better treatments and, one day, a cure.
