I adopted my dog Louie on July 6th, 2016. He is the first dog I have ever owned and instantly became apart of my family. He has such a big personality for a little pupper and constantly makes me laugh. I couldn’t imagine my life without him by my side. I find it true when people say that when you rescue an animal they end up rescuing you. I’m so glad he found his way to me through the Peterborough Humane Society.
My name is Buddy - and I found my furever home with Sofie Andreou, Jerry Baldwin and my big brother Duke in 2011. Sofie came in to the shelter in November thinking that maybe they were ready to have a second dog in their lives - and as soon as we saw each other it was love at first site. And this will sound totally crazy, but even though I am 7 years younger than Duke we could be actual TWINS!. Jerry and Sofie brought me home and it has been paradise very since - a big brother to play with, long walks (on and off the beach!) and lots of fun and love. Thank you Peterborough Humane Society for helping me find my home.
We adopted Lucy in 2011 after she was put in a dumpster during a cold winter. She is a wonderful little girl who has adjusted very well - we are lucky to have found her! Here she is with her best friend Murphy
My husband and I adopted Maya last year in early December and she has been the most wonderful addition to our household! She has never been shy, wandering around the house like she owned it the minute we brought her home. Maya is super vocal loves to chat with us while we make breakfast. She is full of energy and despite her heart murmur always wants to play. She loves a good cuddle when she's in the mood, but is mostly happy to sit in the same room as us whenever we are home. We love our girl!
We adopted Scooby-Doo in February of 2015. We changed his name to Winston, which he didn’t seem to mind. This giant dog is so gentle and loving!! Our 4 kids spend lots of time cuddled up on the floor with him. I knew from the minute I saw him in the kennel, that he needed to be in our family!
