Summer Melt is a surprisingly common scenario in which high-school graduates apply, are accepted, and say they plan to enroll in college—but don’t. This phenomenon disproportionately impacts students of color, first-generation students, and students from high-need communities.
To alleviate these obstacles, Elevation Scholars’ College Success Department offers a 2-prong solution: intrusive advising and annual wrap around support beginning in April of our student’s Senior Year. This, combined with many complimentary program components, has led to a 99% enrollment and 100% graduation rate thus far.Â
