I have worked as a state avian ecologist for 45 years in Madison, Wisconsin, am the author of "AFIELD, Portraits of Wisconsin Naturalists, Empowering Leopold's Legacy," and have a passion for kayaking, biking, and birding by ear.
My goal in 2026 is to bike 2,000 miles in southern Wisconsin to raise $100,000 for NAF research into finding a cure for ataxia in all its many forms. My older sister, Daidie Donnelley, has SCA-6 and it is to her that I dedicate my 2,000 miles of biking in 2026 to raise NAF funds.
