Kalman’s Crusaders

Kalman was diagnosed with Autism and speech delay when ge was about 2.  He has since made such great, incredible strides! He is no longer classified as non-verbal!  We have been very fortunate in regards to Kalman's teachers and therapists.  We also have a great support system in our family and friends.

Events like this are essential in raising awareness.  Autism is not a disease, it's viewing the world from a different point of view.  It's learning in a different way.  It's seeing the world from a different angle.  Autism is not a tragedy; ignorance and lack of acceptance is the problem.

It's not just Kalman that Autism affects, it affects us as a family, too.  We all live with it.  It has changed our lives.  It has made me a better person.  It has taught me compassion and patience I didn't think I was capable of.  It makes me slow down and appreciate things and to view the world differently.

Kalman is one of the coolest, funniest, loving, smartest kids I know! I just hope people will take the time to try and see just how great he is.  He is not Autism, he is so much more.  He's Kalman.  I may be his voice for him now, but he is my heart forever!  I will fight his fight!  I wouldn't change him for the world, but I'll try and change the world for him!

Please consider donating to this organization.  All money stays local to help families locally.
