Support Families with Autistic Children Displaced by War in Ukraine

Thank you so much for supporting the autism community in Ukraine. Your generous support will help buy and distribute specialized foods, medications, and sensory items to families of autistic children displaced by the war in Ukraine.

Yulika has connected to a group of volunteers who are re-settling families with autistic children into safety. She is raising money to buy needed items for those families to be shipped directly to them. Additionally, she has been donating to a group of volunteers in Ukraine who support children with disabilities in remote towns by buying medications and specialized foods.

UNICEF reports that a half of Ukrainain children have been displaced. Among them are many children on the autism spectrum and with similar conditions. These children are extremely vulnerable to disruptions in routines, to the distress of others, and to being in unfamiliar, loud, crowded environments. Which, of course, are all a part of escaping home and re-settling in a different location in the midst of war.
