We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came out to walk and volunteer this year. The weather conditions were less than ideal but you came to support and we appreciate the enthusiasm you brought with you!

This year marked SVDPLI's 75th Anniversary and this is our 15th Annual Friends of the Poor Walk. Together we have gone far to help our neighbors in need. SVDPLI provides financial, material, emotional and spiritual support to Long Islanders through our network of over 1,200 volunteers. We are supported by sales at our two thrift stores, individual donations, grants and fundraising events.

We rely on the commitment and generosity of friends like you to raise the funds needed for all the programs we maintain to help those around us. We thank you for your support and generosity!


