Swim a Mile for Hospice 2026

Swimming for a Cause

When you participate in Swim a Mile for Hospice, you’re doing more than swimming laps. You’re helping provide compassionate end-of-life care, grief support, and counseling services to individuals and families throughout our community. Every stroke helps bring comfort, dignity, and hope to neighbors facing serious illness and loss.

Join us at the beach on August 1, 2026, and make a splash for a meaningful cause!

Event Highlights

NEW FOR 2026

  • Mini Swimmers (Ages 4–7)
    Swim safely within the roped beach area for 15 minutes.
  • Hospice Juniors (Ages 8–11)
    Complete a 1/8-mile swim to the buoy with life jackets and kayak support available.

Traditional Swim Options

Participants may choose from:

  • 1 Mile Swim
  • 1/2 Mile Swim
  • 1/4 Mile Swim

Registration Information

  • Registration opens June 1, 2026.
  • Open to participants ages 4 and up.
  • Thanks to a generous grant, all youth ages 4-17 have FREE REGISTRATION
  • Ages 18 and older: $25 registration fee

All registered swimmers receive:

  • Official Swim a Mile event bag
  • Personal online fundraising page

Light breakfast items and snacks will be available during registration.

  • Mini Swim Begins: 8:00 AM
  • Traditional Swim Begins: 8:30 AM

How It Works

Register Online

After registering online, each participant receives a personal fundraising link to share through email, text, or social media. Friends, family members, coworkers, and neighbors can donate directly to support your swim and Hospice services in our community.

Want to make it even more fun? Create a fundraising team with friends, coworkers, school groups, or family members!

Collect Donations

Your personalized fundraising page makes collecting donations easy and secure. Every dollar raised supports hospice care, grief counseling, bereavement programs, and community education services offered by Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
