Welcome to my personal fundraising page for the Flying Fish Swim Marathon 2026
This year's marathon will take place January 30 - February 1
Since 1994, YWCA Flying Fish swimmers have embraced the challenge of swimming nonstop for an hour (30 minutes for Bronzefish and Greenfish). It's not just a test of physical endurance; it's a journey of personal growth.
Join YWCA Flying Fish swimmers on their aquatic adventure this year as they not only push their swimming limits but also make a splash for a great cause. It’s swimming with purpose!
By supporting our swimmers, you're helping the YWCA make a difference for so many.
Funds raised from the annual swim marathon support all aspects of YWCA Evanston/North Shore’s work. This includes:
Providing healthy aquatics programs for all, including swim lessons for adults.
Offering scholarships/financial aid to those who otherwise would not be able to afford these programs. In 2024, we provided 163 children with financial support for lessons and swim team at a cost of $52,400.
Supporting families who access the YWCA’s domestic violence services, economic advancement and other social justice programs. In 2024, the YW’s 24-hour crisis line fielded 1,500 calls for help.
Bringing violence prevention and racial equity programs to schools and other local organizations.
Thank you to everyone supporting my fundraiser, the Flying Fish and YWCA Evanston/North Shore!
