When Team Fresh Steps thinks about the Central Okanagan Hospice Association, they think about more than hospice. For Jordan, it’s about creating safe spaces where people can lean on each other, feel less alone and find connection through difficult times. For Matthew, it’s personal. After his great-grandmother, who walked 10 kilometres a day and hiked with her great-grandchildren, suffered a fall and transitioned to palliative care, his family experienced how quickly life can change. Knowing organizations like COHA are there to support individuals and families through these moments is why they’re stepping onto the dance floor.
