Team Wellness in Motion is dancing in memory of their uncle, whose health suddenly declined while visiting Kelowna. He was moved to hospice care and passed away that same evening. It happened so quickly that, even though their family was just 10 minutes away, they didn’t make it in time. Their family found comfort in knowing he wasn’t alone and that someone was there with him. For them, supporting the Central Okanagan Hospice Association is a way to give back to an organization that provided comfort and care when their family needed it most, because a simple “thank you” doesn’t feel like enough.
Meet Lindsay Stilborn:
Lindsay is the co-owner of The Recovery Spa in Kelowna, where she has spent the past six years helping people navigate pain, inflammation and the stresses of everyday life. Outside of work, she loves being on her bike or outdoors, where she recharges. After losing her uncle unexpectedly and witnessing the care he received, Lindsay is excited to dance in his memory and give back to the organization that supported her family.
Meet Josh Stilborn:
Joshua is a Kelowna entrepreneur and founder of The Recovery Spa, Canada’s first dedicated recovery studio. An avid cyclist, reader and builder, Joshua is happiest when there’s a new challenge to figure out. He’d rather be a beginner at something difficult than comfortable at something easy.
