Get Involved: Peer-to-Peer Fundraising

Thousands of men and women who served our country need support and services to make the often difficult transition from combat to community. When you donate money, resources or time, you ensure that these veterans can turn their lives around and restore dignity, hope and self-sufficiency.

Sharing our message that war causes wounds and suffering that lasts beyond the battlefield is a powerful way to increase our supporters and help more veterans in need. Create and share your personal fundraising page to let friends and family know of the critically important work Swords to Plowshares provides to our community.

What is peer-to-peer fundraising?

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) fundraising is a fun and simple way to raise awareness and raise funds for causes that you care about. You can fundraise on behalf of Swords to Plowshares, create your own customizable campaign and seemlessly share with your social networks through social media and/or e-mail.

How does it work?

Who can use peer-to-peer fundraising?

Everyone can use peer-to-peer fundraising!

When individuals raise money for medical expenses or adoption fees, it’s generally called crowdfunding, but it relies on the same principle as nonprofit peer-to-peer fundraising.

Crowdfunding is the process of funding a project or campaign by collecting several smaller donations from several donors. Peer-to-peer fundraising is an elevated level of crowdfunding, as participants ask their friends and family to make donations and have their own crowdfunding-style page.
