I will be participating in an event called “Strutt you Mutt”. This event will be raising money for the Peterborough Humane Society by walking my dog Basil 5k with any others. I can’t stress how important humane societys and animal shelters are. Without them, many animals would be abandoned and forgotten, this gives them a second chance at the wonderful life they all deserve. Throughout my last year at George Brown I lived across the street from and Humane Society and visited it quite often. I noticed how fast each animal was adopted and without the help and support they receive from events and organizations such as this one, that may not be the case.
