Our son, Caden, was born with heterotaxy syndrome and multiple congenital heart defects. Since the day he entered this world, he has shown us what true strength, resilience, and courage look like. Like so many heart families, we've faced uncertainty, extended hospital stays, open heart surgery, and challenges we never imagined, but we've also experienced incredible hope because of the advancements in congenital heart care.
That is why we will always support The Children's Heart Foundation. The Children's Heart Foundation funds the research that makes better diagnoses, treatments, and surgical options possible for children like Caden. Every breakthrough gives families hope, improves outcomes, and helps more children grow up to live fuller, healthier lives.
We walk with Caden as we near his 3rd birthday and his next open heart surgery, and every heart warrior fighting their own battle. We walk for the families who are just beginning this journey, and for the researchers, doctors, and caregivers who work every day to make a difference.
