The core of what the Taylor Morgan Hamilton Foundation means for me is the value of a human life.  Taylor is the firstborn of my first niece's children.  After months of talking to my niece about check-ups at the obstetricians, colors for the nursery, even talking to Taylor over the phone, I was so excited to join my niece and her husband as they welcomed their firstborn.  Instead, I have watched my niece and her husband work through their loss with a courage that amazes me.  My niece faces the absence of her daughter everyday.  So do many many other mothers.  My heart aches for my niece to this day.  But through her courage, I have learned not to retreat into silence about Taylor.  Through the Taylor Morgan Hamilton Foundation, I have learned that listening can be one of the most important things to do; remembering is another.  Joining with other families during the annual walk is a small way for me to show support to my niece, her husband and other parents...that that the life of their precious angel will always matter.
