Donate to Dorchester Paws!
On December 19, 2023, I adopted a dog named Khloe from Dorchester Paws — and renamed her Hazelle, after my grandmother. People say you rescue a shelter dog — but the truth is, Hazelle rescued me. She's brought more joy, comfort, and loyalty into my life than I ever expected, and I can't imagine my world without her.
Not every dog is as lucky. Every day, animals sit in shelters waiting for a family to choose them — some for weeks, some for months, some longer than that. Without adoption, a dog loses more than just a home: it loses the chance at safety, companionship, and a life free from fear and uncertainty. Overcrowded shelters mean harder choices and fewer resources for the animals who need them most.
That's why I'm fundraising for Dorchester Paws — to help give more dogs the same second chance Hazelle got, and to help this incredible organization continue its lifesaving work in our community.
I'm proud to serve on the Dorchester Paws Board of Directors, and I've seen firsthand the difference every donation makes. Your gift helps cover the cost of shelter, medical care, and adoption support for animals who are still waiting for their own "Hazelle moment."
Please consider donating in her honor — and help another dog find their person, too.
