I’m thrilled to be running the New York City Marathon as part of the 2026 Team LiveOnNY! LiveOnNY is an amazing charity that works to spread awareness about the necessity for organ donation and to provide support to transplant patients and donor families. I am very passionate about this cause as I have gotten to see firsthand how much just one person donating an organ can change someone's life for the better. My brother had a successful kidney transplant at 25 years old this past September. Prior to the transplant, he was in kidney failure and on dialysis 3 times a week with no energy to do anything a normal 25 year old should be doing. Now, after a full and successful recovery, he is back to working full time as a special education teacher and is preparing for his wedding this summer! Seeing how receiving a kidney transplant turned my brothers life around has motivated me to do what I can to help other individuals and their families to have a similar experience. Every donation, or even just spreading the word, helps me reach my fundraising goal and directly impacts this meaningful cause.
