I am running the 2026 NYC Marathon with Team NBDF

I am honored and excited to be participating in the 2026 NYC Marathon as a member of Team NBDF. Every dollar raised through my fundraising efforts will directly support the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation and its mission to provide education, advocacy, support, and research for individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders.

This cause is deeply personal to me.

I only recently learned about the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation—on March 6 of this year, to be exact. Ironically enough, that date has always carried special meaning for my family and me. On March 6, 1988, my father passed away from complications related to hemophilia, just one month before his 30th birthday. I was only five years old.

As the years passed, my brother and I pieced together stories about our father through the memories shared by family and friends. We learned more about the man he was, the life he lived, and the challenges he faced.

Today, I am the father of five-year-old twin daughters. Sometimes I find myself wondering which memories they are making right now and which moments they will carry with them forever. That thought reminds me just how precious time with loved ones truly is.

While hemophilia has been a part of my family's history, advances in medical understanding have revealed that it will not affect future generations of our immediate family. Knowing this brings a sense of relief, but it does not lessen the impact the disease had on those who came before us. Their experiences—and the loved ones we lost—are a constant reminder of why research, education, advocacy, and support for individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders remain so important.

That is why I am so proud to run with Team NBDF.

The work of the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation is helping families every day through education, support services, advocacy, and groundbreaking research. Their efforts are creating hope and improving lives for people living with bleeding disorders—and for families like mine.

Running the NYC Marathon is both a personal challenge and an opportunity to honor my father, my family, and everyone affected by bleeding disorders. I am passionate about this cause, and I need your help to make a difference.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings me closer to my fundraising goal and helps support the important work of the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation.

Here's how you can help:

• Donate: Any contribution, large or small, will make a meaningful impact.

• Share: Help spread awareness by sharing my fundraising page with friends, family, and your social networks.

Thank you for supporting me on this journey. Your generosity, encouragement, and belief in this cause mean more than I can express.

Together, we can help create a brighter future for families affected by bleeding disorders.
