Raising twins has opened my eyes to my privilege in life. It's hard enough to support small humans when you have every resource you need at your fingertips. So can you imagine what it would be like without a stable family network? Without an income? Without a home? New Moms is an organization that empowers young mothers in the face of homelessness, joblessness, or both. I'm currently a volunteer and associate board member, and this year I'm also joining Team New Moms in the Austin P.O.W.E.R. 5k on Sept 28.

New Moms exists to interrupt the cycle of poverty and create strong families. Their mission is to surround young moms and their children with everything they need to permanently transform their lives, specifically focusing on housing, jobs, and family services. 

Please join me in offering support to a young mother by making a donation to my page:

$25 can support diapers and formula for 1 family for a week.

$55 can support 1 night of housing for a young mom and her child.

$115 can support 1 month of one month of unlimited transportation for a participant, removing barriers for her to travel to our Job Training program and access childcare for her family. 

$450 can fund a baby shower for our prenatal support group moms-to-be
