My Personal Fundraising Page
I'm running the 2022 Bank of America Chicago to support Mission of Our Lady of the Angels!
I ran my first half marathon in 2014 and ever since then, I've ran a half marathon every year except for 2021. Moreover, I ran my first international half marathon in 2018 and challenged myself to run my first full 26.2 marathon in 2017. It's been quite a journey! Now, in honor of my second marathon, I decided raising funds for a charity would be the cherry on top to my marathon training. This is my very first event raising funds for a charity, and it has been a blessing to support such a great cause. Training in 95+ degree weather has tested my limits this summer, but I am reminded of WHY I'm running and for that I am so happy to support the Mission of Our Lady of the Angels as they provide food and support to a vulnerable community.
ABOUT MISSION OF OUR LADY OF THE ANGELS
Mission of Our Lady of the Angels exists to provide material and spiritual support to W. Humboldt Park, Chicago- one of the most challenged neighborhoods in the US. The Mission feeds about 3,000 families a month, provides additional material and pastoral support to families, youth, and senior citizens, and, most importantly, brings the love of Christ to a neighborhood desperately in need of hope. More info about the Mission at www.missionola.com.
