Every child needs a champion, so I'm running 13.1 miles for Read Ahead on March 15th! I've been volunteering with the organization for the past five year, and I have mentored two students throughout their time at P.S. 33 in Chelsea.

Please support me as I run this year's United Airlines NYC Half Marathon on behalf of Read Ahead, an organization that pairs over 1,000 New York City public school children with caring mentors who can help them develop the social-emotional skills essential for academic and life-long success.

Children need positive adult role models to thrive. Young people who are mentored -- especially those challenged by poverty -- are more likely to have better school attendance and participation, to develop the motivation and skills they need for success in school and in life, and to enroll in college. This year, I am running the 2020 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon on behalf of Read Ahead so that more students can have the opportunity to be mentored.
