I have an extra special training partner this year, and even more reasons to run in support of Snow City Arts. We welcomed Baby Gwyneth on September 25th, and are so grateful she is a healthy and happy little girl. To celebrate her and to celebrate the life of my dear friend Katie Kurcz, I'm gearing up once again to "run" the Chicago Hot Chocolate 5k on October 29th to raise funds for Snow City Arts.

Snow City Arts is a nonprofit organization that provides arts-based education at children's hospitals across Chicagoland. Currently Snow City is present in 5 hospitals and serves more than 1200 patients each year. They provide a distraction, enrichment, and a creative outlet for children and youth dealing with illness for a few days, or a few months at a time.  The work of Snow City's teaching artists makes a huge difference in the lives of their students and families, and any amount of funding we can provide together will ensure that they can continue to make artists out of patients.
