Rarely do I ask for favors, but if you can spare even $5 bucks, I'd be grateful.

On October 29th I'll be running a race in Chicago to benefit Snow City Arts , a non-profit that is near and dear to my heart. The foundation brings Arts Education to Children's Hospitals in Chicago, giving kids the opportunity to find joy and express themselves during incredibly difficult times.

On September 8th, I attended their "Gallery Night", where my friend Katie Kurcz was posthumously awarded the 2017 Neisser Award for her energy, spirit, and dedication:

Katie helped raise $500,000 for Snow City Arts in 8 years, and after seeing the children's work in person, I understand what a special need their purpose fills. 

This blurry photo is of a collage done by Britney, Age 11, titled "Animals". I loved it. While looking at it, I overheard a group explaining that she passed away months prior, and then I saw her sister standing there with a beaming smile, proudly admiring Britney's work.

I later bought a copy of the print, but never was able to find her family, to say thank you, and mention what a creative and wonderful little girl Britney must have been. I'll snap and share a clear photo of the collage when the print arrives.

The world has huge shoes to fill in Katie's absence, but hopefully - with your help - we can try our best.

There are LOTS of worthy causes that need our support (special thoughts for people and pets affected in Puerto Rico, Texas, and Florida) and unfortunately all you guys and I (me?) don't have unlimited money. I'd equally appreciate a like and a share to help spread the word about the important work this organization is doing!
