Yes!! That’s right, it’s time for the race effort for Snow City Arts 2017!!
We’re taking a break from costumes this year and instead going the distance this Sunday… 9.3 miles that is… All for an organization that is very near and dear to our hearts.
For those not familiar, Snow City Arts is a non-profit organization providing one-on-one instruction in the visual arts, creative writing, music, theater and media arts to patients at Rush University Children’s Hospital, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and Children’s Hospital University of Illinois. Now in their 19th year, they have taught over 16,000 children. Annually, they provide approximately 3,300 hours of one-on-one instruction to 1,000 children through 3,200 workshops. And through a unique partnership with Chicago Public Schools, they are able to submit 200+ reports for their students to earn course credit.
If you’d like to learn more, I encourage you to visit their website at www.snowcityarts.org.
Now back to the fundraising… It’s individual contributions that really move the needle for this very important organization in Chicago!! Any support you can provide is greatly appreciated by myself, the organization and ultimately the children.
Thank you for your continued support!! Laura
