Since 1969, Special Children’s Charities has been a driving force for inclusion and empowerment for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Chicago. Their mission—to break down barriers and expand what’s possible—has had an impact in all 77 Chicago neighborhoods.
This charity is especially close to my heart because I worked as a personal care assistant for a boy with special needs throughout high school and college. Through that experience, I saw firsthand the incredible impact organizations like this have on individuals with disabilities, their families, and the broader community.
I’m incredibly honored to be running the Chicago Marathon in support of Special Children’s Charities. The spirit of accomplishment, inclusion, and joy that defines marathon day is the very same spirit this organization works to create every day for thousands of participants throughout our city.
With your support, we’re helping build a more inclusive Chicago—one mile at a time.
Thank you so much for supporting Special Children's Charities and the thousands of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities they serve across Chicago. Your generosity truly makes a difference.
