This year, I’m taking on my very first marathon, and I’m incredibly excited (and a little nervous!) to be running in support of Special Children’s Charities—a cause that I am honored to be running for. This race represents a huge personal milestone, and being able to connect it to a mission centered on inclusion, joy, and empowerment makes every mile even more meaningful.

Since 1969, Special Children’s Charities has been a driving force for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their work goes beyond programs and events—they create opportunities, celebrate accomplishments, and help build a city where everyone belongs. The spirit of inclusion, determination, and joy that defines the marathon is the same spirit they bring to thousands of participants each year. I’m honored to be a part of helping create a more inclusive Chicago, and I’m so grateful for your support as I take on this first marathon journey.
