In 2026, I’m running 26.2 miles to help build opportunities.

Working on the CTA Red Line Extension has allowed me to contribute to the future of this city. But the strength of Chicago isn’t just in its bridges, rails, or skyscrapers — it’s in its people.

This organization supports thousands of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Chicago. Through sports, community programs, and inclusive events, they provide something powerful: confidence, belonging, and dignity.

That’s why I’m running the Marathon for Special Children’s Charities.

Training for a marathon is demanding.
But it’s nothing compared to the resilience these athletes show every single day.

As someone who arrived from France and was welcomed by this city, I want to give back in a meaningful way. This race is my commitment — not just to finish 26.2 miles, but to raise $2,500 that will directly support life-changing programs.

And I’m not doing this alone.

With friends, we’re also launching “Oui Oui Baguette” — a fun French-inspired initiative selling homemade specialties to boost donations and bring people together around this cause. Because sometimes, change starts with something simple: sharing food, sharing effort, sharing purpose.

Beyond all this, I’ve tried to immerse myself in my community — even dogsitting for neighbors in my building ?. Small moments like helping take care of someone’s dog remind me that community is built through everyday acts of trust and support.
