I am running in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon for Special Children's Charities!
As a former collegiate athlete, I've always loved having something to work toward - and this season of life felt like the right time to take on a new challenge.
I am doing this for a few reasons - the incredible SCC mission, as a personal challenge, and for my daughter, LJ. Becoming a mom last October has changed the way I think about the importance of community, opportunity, and showing up for something other than myself.
Training for 26.2 with a baby in the mix has been humbling, to say the least... but it has also been motivating and incredibly meaningful.
Join me in supporting Special Children's Charities! If you're unable to make a donation, cheering me on is just as appreciated!
Again, thank you for supporting the thousands of participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Chicago!
