Since I started running competitively in middle school, running a marathon has always been a dream of mine. This October, I'll finally be running my first-ever marathon and I'm so excited to be doing it in Chicago. I have fond memories traveling downtown with Michael Frintner to watch his dad race, and I always dreamed of running that same course someday. This makes it extra special.

I'm also excited to announce that I'm running to support Special Children's Charities. Since 1969, Special Children’s Charities has been the driving force behind inclusion and empowerment for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Chicago. The organization runs more than 200 programs across Chicago, providing athletics, arts, and community enrichment opportunities for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in all 77 neighborhoods. As someone who cares deeply about spending time outdoors and staying active, it's important to me that everyone has access to those opportunities.
