“Different, not less.” Hello all, I will be running the Chicago Marathon for Team Special Children’s Charities this upcoming October! I believe every child deserves the chance to shine! There are many challenges as well as incredible joys that come with raising a child with special needs. I am running 26.2 miles to be their voice, raise awareness, and ensure these amazing kids get the support they deserve. Rather than focusing on their disabilities, I will help empower their abilities while making sure they are included in every facet of their community. Special Children’s Charities works tirelessly by providing inclusive athletics, art and music therapies, and educational classes; ultimately, allowing children with special needs to reach their full potential. Please consider donating to this amazing charity and help me reach my goal. A donation of any size will not only help with my miles, but bring these incredible, deserving children wonderful opportunities and everlasting smiles. ♥️

Why I'm running for #TeamSCC

Since 1969, Special Children’s Charities has been the driving force behind inclusion and empowerment for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Chicago. 

Special Children’s Charities aims to transcend boundaries and redefine possibilities by serving as a symbol of empowerment and inclusivity within both the disability community and the City of Chicago.

The spirit of accomplishment, inclusion, and joy that are part of the marathon experience are what we strive to provide for thousands of our participants in all 77 Chicago neighborhoods. With your help, we are creating a more inclusive Chicago–one mile at a time.
