Special Children’s Charities has been instrumental in providing opportunities for inclusion and empowerment for individuals of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Chicago since 1969.

As a middle schooler, my dad got me involved in volunteering with programs that granted children the opportunity to participate in horseback riding day camps and events. His passion for this program and many others to follow, has driven me in many areas of my life, and eventually led me to becoming a special education teacher. 

I chose to run for the Special Children’s Chartities team to carry on Dad’s legacy of being a driving force to provide people of all ages the chance for inclusion and empowerment. 

With your help, I can bring the spirit of accomplishment, inclusion, and joy along with me throughout the 26.2 miles of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
