As a proud Chicago native, this race is deeply personal to me—it’s a chance to run through the city that shaped who I am, while supporting a cause that means so much to my hometown.
Since 1969, Special Children’s Charities has been a driving force for inclusion and empowerment, supporting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Chicago. Their mission goes beyond services—they are redefining what’s possible and championing a more inclusive, compassionate community.
The spirit of the marathon—perseverance, joy, and accomplishment—mirrors the opportunities Special Children’s Charities creates every day for thousands of participants across all 77 Chicago neighborhoods.
With your support, we’re building a more inclusive Chicago—one mile at a time.
If you wish to make a donation via check, please send to the address below and they will credit the donation to my fundraising page. Please make sure to include my name (or the person you would like to support) in the memo section.
Please make all checks payable to Special Children's Charities.
