In my career as a physical therapist working with individuals with disabilities, I know the enormous impact that access to supportive and accessible programming has, and the importance of building inclusive communities to allow everyone, regardless of disability, to live fulfilling lives. This year, I’m proud to be running the Chicago Marathon in support of Special Children’s Charities, an organization that expands access to inclusive programs that promote growth, empowerment, and well-being for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Chicago. These programs include art and music therapy, cultural programs, cooking classes, and a wide range of athletic programs (near and dear to my heart as a former adaptive recreation coach for Special Olympics athletes my last summer before PT school).

Every donation goes towards building a more inclusive world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Your donation helps fund these amazing opportunities that make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of these individuals and their families.
