Last year, I ran the New York City Marathon, an experience that pushed me both physically and mentally and showed me how powerful it is to set a goal and follow through.
For the 2026 Chicago Marathon, I wanted to take that experience one step further and connect it to something bigger than myself.
I have been involved in charity runs for much of my life. Since I was about 12, I have participated in the RBC Race for the Kids in Toronto, supporting Sunnybrook Hospital’s Youth Navigation Project. It is something I have always genuinely enjoyed being part of, and it has shaped how I think about giving back.
That is why I am especially excited to now be running with Special Children’s Charities, continuing that same spirit on a larger scale.
Special Children’s Charities creates opportunities, community, and support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Chicago, and I am proud to support their work.
Running 26.2 miles is a challenge, but being able to do it for a cause like this makes the experience even more meaningful.
If you are able to support, any contribution truly makes a difference. And if not, cheering me on means just as much.
Thank you so much for being part of this journey.
