Growing up I have always had the opportunity to participate in an organized sport which led me to play Lacrosse in college and semi-professional soccer abroad.  This led me to want to become a primary education teacher in order to help with the development of students at a young age with academics and gross motor skills. 

This past year I had made the transition to becoming the Primary Special Education Teacher at my schools as well as the first Special Olympics Coach my school has had.  Special Olympics has given my students equipment to learn new sports, field trips to different parts of Chicago to experience competition, and we have become stronger with experiencing the joy of playing games together.

I am forever grateful for this organization and feel so honored to be able to join this team to help raise money to give even more athletes opportunities to compete and learn.
