This October, I'll be running the Twin Cities Marathon, my first marathon EVER! To add meaning to the 26.2 miles, I will be fundraising money for Children's Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota.

I am so thankful for my health that will allow me to train and run. However, there are thousands of kids that are not able to run, play or just be kids. But that's where Children's Minnesota comes in.

There are a few things you may not know about Children’s. It’s one of the largest pediatric health systems in the country and the only system in Minnesota to provide care just to kids. Last year, Children’s treated more than 130,000 kids in the five-state region. As a nonprofit organization, Children’s relies on philanthropy. Nearly everything at Children’s is impacted by generosity, from its live in-house television programming Star Studio, to Child Life, to the Ronald McDonald House, to its private rooms to cutting-edge technology and research. 

Will it be hard? Yes. There will be mornings I don't want to wake up early and do long runs, and let's be honest who thinks gels actually taste good? But I'm running for kids. I'm running so no child is turned away, regardless ability to pay. I hope you'll consider donating and supporting me, because ultimately you're helping the kids. Any donation helps!!
