Happy Birthday Rocco!

We are celebrating his birthday by throwing a fundraiser AND running the Twin Cities 10-mile for Children's Hospitals and Clinics.

We want to give back!

Rocco was born with a life-threatening defect – Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, which is a hole in the diaphragm. His abdominal contents including his stomach, liver, intestines, and spleen had moved into his chest, preventing his lungs from growing. He was expected to be very sick or not make it after birth.

We moved forward during pregnancy because we had faith in our little fighter and Rocco’s care team. After his arrival on June 24, 2014, he was placed on ECMO, essentially life support, for three weeks. He stabilized and was able to recover! Following ECMO, six surgeries, and 97 days in the hospital, he was able to come home.

Today, Rocco is thriving. We want to celebrate the first year of his life by giving back to Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, where Rocco received life-saving care. We want to give back to the Child Life program, which supports families with babies and children who are very sick. Please consider making a donation in honor of Rocco's 1st birthday!
