Anna and Marin Haugo - Personal Fundraising Page

Hi! Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. I am so excited to run the Twin Cities 10-mile on behalf of Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota! I've always been a fan of this world-class hospital system, but my passion for Children's really took off when I started working here in early 2014. Through my interactions with other employees and clinical teams, as well as patient families and supporters, I grew to love all that Children's has to offer.

The dollars we raise will go to benefit Children's Center for the Treatment of Eating Disorders. Not only do I have the honor to professionally fundraise for this great cause, but it is near and dear to my heart. Children's offers such a needed resource to help kids and adolescents struggling with eating disorders, and I am proud to be a part of helping it to grow! I hope you'll join us and consider a meaningful gift to this important program. If you prefer to donate with cash or check, please send me a message, and I will help you out.

If you have any questions about Team Superstars, or what we are doing at Children's, please let me know! I love to talk about the work I am so blessed to do for this community. Thank you for your support!

Anna

PS -- my "little" sister is running the TCM MARATHON for Children's! We are combining our efforts to raise money, so know you are supporting both of our campaigns with your gift today! Here's a message from her:

What's the furthest distance you have ever run? For me, the answer is 26.2 miles. When it comes to marathons, I always thought it would be a one and done life event, something cool I could always reference as an accomplishment. #braggingrights That was until I had the opportunity to join the Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota Team Superstars. I am running to raise money for the new Center for the Treatment of Eating Disorders.

Running 26.2 miles represents one of the millions of amazing things people can do with their bodies. Instead of objectifying ourselves and overanalyzing our still shots, we need to teach young and old to recognize and appreciate everything our bodies do for us on a daily basis. Eating Disorders are not something to be taken lightly, but are pervasive and life-threatening. In fact, of all mental illness, eating disorders have the highest mortality rates at about 5%. Seeing Children's Hospitals new eating disorders center emerge is another step in ridding our society of this preventable illness.

Let's help empower children and adolescents with this crippling disorder to have a chance to experience self-love and acceptance. Please help me reach my goal of raising funds by making a donation today.
