Why I Run

Hi Friends!

My name is Robyn McFaul and I am a student at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire studying Spanish for Business and Biology. After running my first half marathon in May of 2014, I was hooked.This May I ran my second half marathon and now I am training for my first FULL marathon in October of 2015!

I decided to join Team Superstars because my interest in healthcare,  but most importantly my experience in Guatemala. As challenging as it was to work in a clinical setting with children, it was one of my favorite parts of the trip! I have witnessed the importance of specialized care and healthcare personnel it takes to work with children. Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota is a wonderful organizations known for their exceptional care for children of Minnesota and other parts of the midwest and also for their work in the community. Children's is a non-profit healthcare provider for children and offers programs to improve the health of children in the community.

This year during my winter break I went to Guatemala with an organization called VIDA. VIDA sets up free medical, dental, and veterinary clinics in Central America. I was part of the medical team and got to meet so many wonderful families and help them to live healthier lives.
