My name is Anna Dixon, I am a neonatal ICU nurse at Children's in Saint Paul. I chose to become apart of Team Superstars to help raise money for the babies I watch grow bigger and stronger every day. I want to help not only my patients but their families as well. Life in the NICU is typically a roller coaster of emotions, there are good days accompanied by bad days. I hope to help take away some of the burden by joining this fundraiser. I am amazed and inspired by the babies and their families every day I come into work. I love cheering on these little ones through all of their accomplishments and witnessing many firsts. From breathing on their own, to being held for the first time, coming out of the isolette, wearing clothes, getting rid of IVs, tolerating Mom's milk, and many more. There is nothing more rewarding than to watch a 2 pound baby, learn, and grow and graduate from the NICU. I have been touched by so many parents and their children, I want to give back any way that I can. I am hoping that by helping to raise money for Team Superstars that I can make the days and months that these families have to spend at Children's easier. Please help me to help the smallest but the strongest!!
