Here's Your Chance to Change the World!
We're packing nutritious hot lunches for school children in Haiti. We're packing enough to feed 500 kids all through 2020, as we have for the past six years. Join us--it's making a huge difference!
The full lunch program we provide boosts school attendance like nothing else!
School culture is changing. It is becoming normal to advance each year to the next elementary grade, graduate, and even continue into high school. This was not happening before lunch became regular.
Parents are so impressed, they join evening literacy classes and start small businesses to better support their families.
The process is working! You can be part of it by helping us financially and by joining the packing on November 9.
The 7th Annual Teaneck Packathon for Haiti will keep the meals flowing to two schools. We plan to send 123,000 meals to fill a need that keeps growing because more kids are attending school, enjoying the meals we pack, and getting an education!
This year, we must raise $56,000 to cover the costs of:
Rice, beans, dried vegetables and vitamins for volunteers to pack 123,000 school lunches for Monday-Thursday,
Haitian-sourced Friday lunches to support local farms and businesses.
But that's not all: When you donate to Teaneck Packathon for Haiti, your gift also brings hope to Bergen County. It enables us to see both our amazing diversity--people from every generation, every faith, every ethnicity, every tax bracket, and every skill level--and our shared drive to help others. It's a rare opportunity that is only possible if we can keep the event free. Teaneck Packathon is an important day for Bergen County as we celebrate our common purpose. Join us if you can November 9 in the back gym of Grace Lutheran Church, 1200 River Road in Teaneck, New Jersey.
Please DONATE NOW to keep all children of Chapottin and Trois Mares, Haiti, in school and eating every weekday through 2020, and to bring our own community together.
