My first encounter with Children's Minnesota was in 2014 when I was working at a local marketing agency. Children's was a client, and I was enlisted to help with their social media content creation and advertising efforts. Through telling stories on social about Children's patients, nurses, and doctors, I was awed by the work being done at the hospital and the tremendous obstacles the smallest of humans overcame through their programs and services.
I've run 5K's, 10K's, and the Twin Cities 10 Mile, but never a half-marathon. I've been to Duluth twice during Grandma's Marathon to watch friends race, and have always wanted to sign up but never thought I could actually run 13.1 miles. I decided if I want to go for this goal, it might as well benefit a good- no, great- cause. Please consider supporting me in Grandma's Half 2018, and consider helping sick kids in Minnesota at the same time. Learn more about Children's here: https://www.childrensmn.org/ and follow me on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram as I train.
